Living, Working and Playing in Land O' Lakes

If you want to live in Florida, away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cities, you should really give some serious thought to Land O’ Lakes. The town of Land O’ Lakes is located in Pasco County, Florida with a population of around 38,000 residents.  Land O’ Lakes is just north of Tampa and is considered to be part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida metropolitan area.   Land O’Lakes doesn’t have a beach, but when you live here, you are less than 30 minutes away from the coastline.  This area is VERY well known for its neighborhoods.  The location of them allows a more quiet living without the hustle and bustle and noise of a busy area.  Many homes are hidden among lakes and a massive wetlands conservation area.

If you love the outdoors, you will LOVE the chance to live in Land O Lakes.  There are so many outdoor spaces to enjoy.  Did I mention there are over 50 Lakes here!  Lakes and Ponds, walking trails, and parks are all a part of this gorgeous and growing area.  If you live here in Land O Lakes you don’t have a terrible commute if you work in Tampa or St Pete!  Again, location is what draws many to this area.  Keep in mind this is truly a “lake area”, so if you are looking for entertainment such as movies, galleries, or museums, you are NOT going to find them here.  Entertainment and Culture however are just a short drive away! I will tell you that new restaurants are popping up all the time.  We have the mom and pops that have been around for a long time, but now many chains and specialty restaurants are making appearances here too!

There are many master-planned communities here in Land O Lakes.  These communities offer a TON of amenities.  But there are also just single-family homes as well where you don’t incur the fees but there are no amenities included.
